4/28 LJ No stupid circle hook this time HA!
Nice morning on the water, light winds, sardines scattered with nothing seeming to bother them. Hooked up on the bottom, when I let my low rigged mackeral settle. No circle hook this time so I swung and then I SWUNG AGAIN just to make sure I put that hook right where it belonged. Good thing too or this may have shook the hook  Nothing else going on, 57-58 degree water. Hope it climbs back into the 60s next week.

Nice Catch
Too bad you didn't catch it on the jig. It looks like you could have got credit for four or five species of marine life caught for the jig contest.
 BOy that blue anodizing held up well. A lot better than the side plate screws. |
Alright I bit on this one!!
|
Andy,
What was the vis. like? Was the kelp up? Nate |
DUDE you caught a niiiiiice 500.
|
Andy, I have a 500 caught the same way. Replaced the spool, drag system (with a wet one), etc. I've been using it for at least 5 years. How long ago it was first used...who knows?
That one might be worse off though. |
Nate visibility varied from 10 inside to 20 outside, there was south flowing current, with little kelp showing.
