Hey Ryan -

Saw you blaze off the beach this morning. We were in the eXtreme's launching right behind you. That is a huge paddle out and back by 1100. Managed to get my 45 year old arse out about 2 miles off the point and decided to work back during slack tide. Couldn't get over the masses of bait. Not a click for us. Managed to beat a couple 12" cudas off my sabiki while making bait.

Looking forward to PM reports. Back out on Friday.

Here's my "c" bass for the day, on the "El Jefe" Jimijig. WCB points and the ironman to boot :D Nothing else except a ling and macs. Saw a couple of spots of YT around the 3/4 in 100 feet. Too far every time. Saw Vito right on the edge of one lil pile, he said he had just hooked a sandie when they popped up right in front of him and were gone before he got sqared away with the bass. Nice grey morning with light winds.

Paddled out as the Ryan and Cris were heading in....I concur on the miles of bait

Had a nice zing and pulled the hook after 30 seconds of joy :x

Watched some skiffers land a quality WSB that gobbled a greenie.

I agree with Ryan, tonight will go lo lo fo sho

went TSharkin outside LJ off SurfDoc's(BD'er) boat around 10am..
we were done by 12noon.. 219#
we saw 5 caught today that were over 200#
amazing amount of anchovies out at the 600' curve, just south of the weather bouy.. i'm talking acres and acres of bait and thick down to 30' from the surface of blacked out bait balls..

i don't know if anyone wants a 200# off a yak.. they pull pretty amazingly strong when they get over 2buck size!!!

LJ's about to blow wide open!!!

Thanks for the report. ryan maybe you got there to early!!!?? :!: From reading the other boards it sounds like it was GOING OFF near the buoy today with lots of T sharks caught, and that 295# beast. My friend said they weighed like eleven T-sharks at Dana landing today, reports are of multiple hookups and miles of bait out there.

We're launching from my place in 2 Adventures tomorrow at 6 AM, bringing the big gear and heading all the way to the LJ buoy area to troll some big hooks and mackerel.

There could be lots of other fish out there, but all the boats are trolling those huge bait-o-matics. Maybe we'll get something on the way;

guess I still didn't go far enough :x there was a mile of bait and birds where I was that seemed never ending..should have kept following it.. looks like I'll have to go a little farther 2moro

you never read that rabbit/turtle story did ya..? :P

God damn wjereexactly is the weather buoy..? I'm guessing I was either north or south of it, because I asked a PBer and he said we were 5.7 miles offshore..I was a bit north of the pier..

Just want to verify the buoy location. Buoy Station 46226 is just over 5 miles at 260 degrees from the launch. Does that sound right? I had originally looked up Station 46225. I was getting ready to paddle out to a point 5 miles off Torrey Pines
