Oh crap....I forgot. I figured since you don't dick around dragging that silly rapala all the way up there anymore, you wouldn't mind?
|
stay away from blacks man, there are no fish there, surf is always flat there, water is always dirty, and there are billions of great whites right outside the surfline... hahaha just kidding man, blacks is a great spot

Shoot, thought this was about the thread on a very popular fishing website with pic's of a sporty out of Diego sticking 4 gaffs in a big black & hoisting it over the rail at Clemente today......The admin's of said website pulled the thread 15 minutes ago.
This shit pisses me off, sorry for the rant. |
thanks guys i also heard that you use a special lure what kind??
|
you want to look for rockfish in deeper water, 140' +
Canyon edges are a perfect place for that. Drift over the canyon walls. Make sure you have your bait or lure tight to the bottom. I find it the easiest to fish for rockfish with a strip of squid pinned on. Shiny metal heavier jigs or plastics work too. Use your fishfinder to look for the bottom drop-offs, look for the marks on the bottom. Learn about La Jolla and Scrips Canyons http://escholarship.org/uc/item/5079n1d7#page-1 http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwevb/s...ead.php?t=4513 If you notice the guys in shallower watter getting towed around, maybe consider targetting rockfish some other day :D |
