Go Pro Mounting on an Outback.
1 Attachment(s)
I have an Hobie Outback with Hobie bait tank and rod holders.
I am trying to determine what type of mounting to use for a Go Pro wide angle camera. I don't want to make a permanent mount with holes anywhere. A mounting with view from over/behind me facing forward would be ideal. I really don't need to have videos of me, might be too scary for some, just the action. Anybody have a good suggestion? Pics? can be emailed to bigkaijuu@cox.net Bent is the best position! |

The boaters seem to like it too, it's an easy to spot target for them. |

Here is a very good example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEaDrS-yzIE click on the red button at the lower left to remove his comment. There are pros for CMOS too - lower power consumption for one. <table cellpadding="4" cellspacing="2"><tbody><tr><td class="cellnohilite" valign="top">Performance</td> <td class="cellnohilite" valign="top">CCD</td> <td class="cellnohilite" valign="top">CMOS</td> </tr> <tr> <td class="small" valign="top">Responsivity</td> <td class="small" valign="top">Moderate</td> <td class="small" valign="top">Slightly better</td> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#e0e4e8"> <td class="small" valign="top">Dynamic Range</td> <td class="small" valign="top">High</td> <td class="small" valign="top">Moderate</td> </tr> <tr> <td class="small" valign="top">Uniformity</td> <td class="small" valign="top">High</td> <td class="small" valign="top">Low to Moderate</td> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#e0e4e8"> <td class="small" valign="top">Uniform Shuttering</td> <td class="small" valign="top">Fast, common</td> <td class="small" valign="top">Poor</td> </tr> <tr> <td class="small" valign="top">Uniformity</td> <td class="small" valign="top">High</td> <td class="small" valign="top">Low to Moderate</td> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#e0e4e8"> <td class="small" valign="top">Speed</td> <td class="small" valign="top">Moderate to High</td> <td class="small" valign="top">Higher</td> </tr> <tr> <td class="small" valign="top">Windowing</td> <td class="small" valign="top">Limited</td> <td class="small" valign="top">Extensive</td> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#e0e4e8"> <td class="small" valign="top">Antiblooming</td> <td class="small" valign="top">High to none</td> <td class="small" valign="top">High</td> </tr> <tr> <td class="small" valign="top">Biasing and Clocking</td> <td class="small" valign="top">Multiple, higher voltage</td> <td class="small" valign="top">Single, low-voltage</td></tr></tbody></table> |
point taken.
I was thinking in terms of still cameras not video. ccd is a nice sensor, although I have seen some really nice looking videos from the canon 5d MKII |
