The anti beach access/seal extremists are calling out all seal supporters to the Children's Pool on Sunday, April 3rd at 2 PM. to push back against "seal haters" and "anti seal people." We certainly count ourselves as among those who like seals and enjoy their company while sharing the beach and the ocean at the pool. We differ from the extremists in that we don't believe the seals should be used as a wedge to drive people off this man made beach, built and dedicated for use by children and families. We plan to join those people in appreciation of the beauty of the La Jolla coastline and all it's creatures while responsibly using the Children's Pool. Join us this weekend.

APRL and some of the local Sea Shepherd girls will be there protesting and screaming at people on the beach.
Make no mistake about it. The people running these groups want to take away your right to fish anywhere FOREVER.

In related news, the ranger who had been hired to keep the peace has requested and received a transfer. There will be no one in that position as of April 2. That should help make your event even more interesting.

That didnt surprise me....Dealing with the pro-seal people is like dealing with 50 six-year-old girls all screaming at the same time, while they call your supervisor and complain that seals are being murdered and you are doing nothing about it. I dont blame Lisa for wanting to get out of there
