Actually they get much bigger!
They don't reach sexual maturity until they are 65-70 lbs and can go over 500 lbs and live for well over 100 years! Her's a big one caught off Catalina almost 100 years ago! Piranha :? 8)

Intake depth!
Your intake tube just needs to be just long enough so that it never comes outta the water. It shouldn't protrude too deep below the hull of your yak or else your yak will constantly turn in that...
