The tides were looking good for some after work fishing. I grabbed the yak Monday and went down to a rippin incoming tide and lot's of shit in the water. Kelp, eel grass, everything. Mats of kelp...

MB is great for spottie fishing.

The big bay has bigger fish and a bigger variety of species. But for spottie fishing MB is tough to beat.

I was lucky enough to be able to fish MB both Saturday and Sunday morning.

The fishing was awesome both mornings with spotties everywhere. All the weed lines were holding spotties. Most were nice...

I usually load up on food...

Try thick zip ties on the top of your bait cage. ...

Try thick zip ties on the top of your bait cage. Cut them to a point about a half to one inch long. They get a good poke from those.

The down side is....the ties get caught up in everything.

Waders have always concerned me for that reason but they are way more comfortable than those other options.
