I'm sure it's because of the quagga mussels in the lakes. Havasu cranks out HUGE redears because of those things.

Still catching, can't complain about that. Current was probably a factor in your bite. I've found that Sand Bass, even with crappy current, still bite well.

Fishing is better in someways. Extra water always helps a lake. The key to finding the bass is figuring out where they were in the shallows before the lake was filled. They're hanging out on that...

Damn shame. Found this guy floating today. Looked to be 6-7'. Maybe 80-100lbs? I thought it was a dead dog initially.

I was out there a couple weeks back fishing hueneme canyon. No gamefish por me. All I got was a white croaker and a sand dab. I'm sure there's fish around the canyon from what I've read and heard....

Caught these guys on a 4" sinking jerkbait. Bigger lure = bigger fish. I've gotten an est. 3lb mackerel before too. Got that one on a 60g jig. They come and go. Location is pretty important too....
