Yes...

Yes....hump berm mound what ever you want to call it.
I used to use boat launching ramp...dont look like it will be done in the near future.

SOAB......./solo....3/10 return.

The berm was easier then the sand...reason hardpack.
Plenty of mackerel for no bites, tangled my bounce ball lost my canon ball...wrapped my trolling motor prop with mackerel flys 1/2 hour to cut...

Bizarre.....

Think I'll add a treble hook and make it a trap rig to be safe or just use one treble hook

I have to make sure I clear my trolling motor.....

I have wrapped the propeller more times than I can remember...i fish up to three rods you got to stay focused
and watch your graph for anything that might tangle the bounce ball.

Any luck fourtogo....what kayak were you in...

And Harry that's an octopus off set circle hook, not sure if it's the best hook to use, its new to me, I think it's more of a rock fish hook....then tuna or yellowtail I could be wrong and you can't...

No wonder the halibut shook off the hook on the bounce ball rig, not enough hook was in it...maybe going to put an egg sinker or plastic beads in skirt to move hook back.

You get four pictures...

Tuna rod is for bounce balling....get it.
Pole size had nothing to do with loosening the halibut
The first mackerel on the trap rig ,what ever it was missed both hooks. Second mackerel was bit off

Took on the berm!!!! San Diego bay.....fish report. High tide 9am.

After Launching at first light down hill was the easy part...two battery, 5 poles ice chest,fishing tackle probably 5 trips back and forth, was thinking I might be sleeping on the beach when I get...
