Long answer...I've lived on the Peninsula for about 20 years now and have only beach launched about a half a dozen times. My OK Trident 11 was probably the best trail kayak...

Just bolt a 3" x 3" aluminum angle to the kayak and let it extend out to one side with just enough clearance to tilt the motor...and then mount your motor with the clamps and you should be good to...

IMHO...this is just my opinion and that's about all it's worth...

Over the years I've had many electric motors on my kayaks...
The first was the simplest... a "side mount" MinKota or Motor...

Get Dad a trailer...I love my trailer for my PA...if you have the room to store it with the kayak on top and ready to go...it's a "no-brainer"...

Got a little Sharkey today...

It was foggy as hell but the big Bones bit well in the morning then it slowed down and this guy took our last fish of the day....
