I have had good luck with uniknots with braid....
I have had good luck with uniknots with braid. You can connect it to your leader using a uni to uni connection , Not as elegant as using hollow ace, but it works. I have never experienced a failure...

I have found grabbing the stern handle works best. Once you have the stern any surprise wave will straighten the boat out and point the bow toward the beach. At that point you can just walk it in

I caught them on the bottom fishing for Rock fish. They went for cut squid. It was hard to tell size since they were embracing the bait, but they looked about 10 to 15 inches arm tip to arm tip
