I've got the Navionics app on my Galaxy and it works well. I have Memory Map too but the Navionics seems better and it was free. These are backups for the Humminbird in my boat in case of primary...

I've got a couple of psw809h's. For throwing iron, your best bet is to have more mono than your casting distance so you're not casting with the spectra and the spectra is for backing. 50# spectra is...

Those rating are based on the capacity of the reel, not the drag. The SX/MX get the same drag. Personally, I like the MXJ better than the SX. Its a little narrower than the SX and bigger around. ...

What's wrong with the music or pronunciation of "feta", it's the way I say it. I usually use the French feta rather than the Bulgarian that I get at the Persian market.

Another vote for a knot and a short leader. I use a uni-uni, improved albright or tony pena/bob sands knot to join a 3' leader to the spectra. The knot never goes through the guides.

Sounds like a good first trip. A #2 hook is the standard size for Anchovy, 1/0 - 3/0 for a Sardine and a 3/0 -5/0 for macs. I've used 8/0 for Big Macs targeting big YT. Mini-macs could be sized...

I've been throwing iron with the Lexa 400. Tady C's, 45 and Salas 7x have all worked fine. I use it with a Phenix 809h. I've hauled in a lot of YT with it this summer. My son has the NaCl 50 and...

I was there last August with Cedros Outdoor Aventures. Going back this August 4-8 too. Big Yellows get old after a while so I'm hoping for one of those epic 200+ bass days up at Punte Norte if the...

Yep, I got one. My son got a 37# and a 25# yellowtail on it at Cedros fishing from a panga. I was impressed!

I really like the Lexa 300hsp. The power handle is nice but the length is the same on...

Good call on the MXJ. JX is the same size as the Torium 20 so you don't need one that size. MXJ is a little narrower than the SX but larger in diameter. It's my favorite Avet.

The spool tension knob should be set so the spool can barely shimmy left/right. For cast control, when you let the weight fall, the spool should stop when the weight hits the ground and not keep...

Did you order one?

I'm thinking Shimano is coming out with a replacement at ICAST and blowing out the old models. Hence the shipping delay. I heard they're coming out with black Terez rods...

I posted the Curado sale on a couple other fishing boards and know of at least 7 others who have now ordered one. Hopefully, it'll come through!

When does Hobie's patent run out? I like the idea of pedaling but am not that fond of their yaks. A Trident or Extreme pedaler would be great.

I wasn't talking about the Ultra 4.7... which is sweet.

I was comparing the Trident 15 to the Prowler T15. They do seem to identical except for the seat and the rod pod cover.

Trident vs Prowler T Angler

Specs look identical. Anyone know what's the difference besides the price?

I did some more 'googling' and it looks like it's just the rod pod cover and the seat. An aftermarket set would...
