It's been mostly bottom fishing up in Malibu, so I had been meaning to plan a Summer trip to LJ for a while. Launched shortly after first light. I can see why this is such a popular spot....

If I recall correctly from reading Baja catch, the fishing industry just destroyed that area years back, that it never fully recovered, and it stands as a bit of a testament to management practices

That new outback looks pretty cool. Looks like they put a rectangular hatch, but oriented it longways. Thatís a pretty cool change, as I find it hard to do anything with the wide hatch open.
