I got my wife a fishing pole for mother's day. I need to show her your post, Katfish, cause your smile speaks volumes. Your man has a midshipman there. Those things are a trip the first time you see one. Like lowprofile said, don't skimp on the water out there. And there are plenty of nicer days to look forward to. Its worth spending an hour or two messing around in the surf on your kayak. Leave the gear at home and just practice going in and out through the waves.
