i found the cap sealer. ill check local dealer. i have a hobie revo. the unit has side imaging so the transducer has to be in water . initially i ran the transducer with a mad frog arm. i was not happy with that. to many drawbacks . then i put it in hull wet and dry mount. i tried both not realizing that i was knocking out my down imaging and side imaging . so now i have the transducer glued to underbelly of kayak. the transducer is about a half inch thick , so it is not protruding out to much. now the unit is working properly again. what a difference. i tested it out today at lj. it was so nasty out there i didn't even fish . waves maybe 4 ft. one missed me , second one i caught and rode it out , then a bunch of smaller ones did me in.
nothing lost . stowed everything in hull. only 3 other yaks out. they were gonna do tour , but turned around after 30 min. winds were about 15 - 20 . i should be posting this separately , but here it is . not much to tell. the smarts ones stayed at home.
