I used EVA foam in the footwells and the rear well of my x-13 glued down with automotive trim (contact) adhesive. It raised the deck a half inch up front and I doubled it in the back for a full inch.. It adds virtually no weight, makes the yak quieter, raised the water line in back and acts like floatation. Five years later still no issues. I don't know what Seadek charges but Home depot EVA is dirt cheap and 3M spray trim adhesive is pretty inexpensive.

Nice idea with the home depot foam. What did you do around the scupper holes? It looks like the foam has a cutout near the foot area. Raising the waterline in the back would be great since everything back there is always sitting in a half inch or so of water.
