Personally, I think the top is a little 'over the top', if you know what I mean. Keep in mind that those tops keep water out but keep heat in, the more you move around the more heat you'll build up and the hotter its going to get under that jacket, I would go with a lighter top like the NRS paddle Jacket. When I fish or hoop in the winter I usually wear a splash jacket with a long sleeve shirt under for additional warmth, if it gets to hot I can take the jacket off and still be somewhat covered up.
