We usually take 4 each. When the bass are on the chew, we add a 5th sometimes, just for them. If we do bring it, and the bass won't play, we throw a plug on sometimes for bonies, barries. or smaller yellows. Those are lot of fun on the lighter outfit. Julie never uses more than 2 rods, I sometimes use 3 if the drift/wind is taking us towards the launch, baits hi' and lo', in clicker mode, while I yo-yo a jig, too.
