I've read on this board that San Quintin is good, and may try heading there, but I greatly appreciate any specific advice about where to launch (where not to launch?) or if there are other spots that you would recommend. I am aware of the increased crime there and will be as careful as possible.

Thanks in advance for any advice, Adam

Hey Adam,
Right on !! Rancho Reynoso is a cool place. Actually Tony Reynoso is a buddy of mine. You might try launching from Puerto Salina ( easy launch, breakwater) then paddle south till you find the kelp beds in front of Baja Mar golf course, can't go wrong, very fishy area. Hope this helps. Let us know how you do.
