BTW

All I had to do to fit it(CHIRP transducer) in the Hobie/lowrance transducer mount was to cut the two mounting towers off the black bottom plate. After that the raymarine chirp transducer seemed like it was made to set in the hole with the cover fitting tightly down on it to keep it in place.
