I found this link on dropper loop rigs with some good advice from the OP. Not sure I'll have the time to tie up anything as fancy but I'll get something together.

BTW do you all recommend using a three way swivel to run the hook off the main line or using a dropper loop knot, cutting one end of the loop and running that to the hook? |
That'll work but you can keep it simple. For me, anything deeper than 150' I will use my Sealine 20 with a dropper loop, 99.999999999% of the time I will fish one hook but I won't give up my baiting secret. Don't over complicate the process, rod, reel, sinker and hook, that's all you need.
