Finally
Fished La Jolla today and finally got my La Jolla yellowtail. Been trying for over a year.
On the water a 0600 with knee high surf. Easy launch
Bait was a little hard to find this morning so while I was jigging for bait I fly lined the only mac I had. That got me the first YT of the day at 24#.
At about 0900 I took a break from slow trolling to take a piss and in the middle of the process my reel starts screaming. That one was 19#
Off the water at 1200. Easy landing even though I was loaded down with
45#'s of fish
It looked like several guys were hooked up today.
One of the yellows will be donated to HOW to feed the HEROS
Time to get out there
