No idea. For the price probably not, but I have a trip to San Simeon approaching in a few days so I just needed a functional rod. I'll swap it out just as soon as I return home. Replacing a rod tip is often times as simple as hitting it with a lighter to heat the glue, removing, gluing, and replacing. Typically the wrap is decorative and starts after the tube of the tip.
