Hello lovely people,
Finally, I'm out of the whitewater and in the lineup zone. It is physically exhausting for me to get there, unfortunately. I would like to hear your advice about proper paddling techniques and rookie mistakes.
This is how I normally do it: I hold my board's end down and walk it through as much whitewater as possible until I reach chest height. After that, I paddle and sometimes get thrown back by really powerful waves
. Most of the time, I do the cobra/push-up technique but haven't yet learned the turtle roll.
However, when I reach the wave, I feel exhausted. I'm also afraid of bigger waves or my board flying at me.
We would appreciate any tips and tricks on board control, paddling, or trajectory.
