Hmmm. I've been launching there for over 20 years and have
never seen it closed for tides or seaweed. Well, a big hole after a storm or high tide maybe, but for just a day or two. Push some sand into it and it's good to go. And what's with the massive concrete barrier? Moving that had to cost some bucks.
I think something else is going on -- perhaps an in-your-face demonstration to "prove" the city's need for a tax increase...as if to claim it can't even afford to move a few yards of sand.
It's not acceptable. Where's the Coastal Commission and the CA Dept. of Boating & Waterways when we need them?
