If you have a newer Revo with the new style rudder deployment system, the UP and DOWN pull handles you will need to be careful what you mount on the gunnels.
The up down cords are run along that route, and if you drill without looking you can cut it easily. Probably not a good idea to have very long screws or bolts protruding through the area either as it will chaff the cord.
-2009 and newer
It can be done, just drill cautiously.
