Yep I've seen it in action. The outriggers actually move in to the hull to form a normal shape of a yak. And, with the pull of a lever, they extend out as in the pic. They have a rope attatched to the hull in front of the paddler, so you can grab a-hold and and pull yourself up into a standing position. Simply put, their a great skinny water yak, or great for sight fishing. Their not fast, but not slugs. If your interested in one, Ricky Mitchell (Fresno Ca) is a distributor.
