The guy selling the drive for $300 sounds like a person who doesn't own a kayak. "It's ready to bolt up to your kayak" I lost a set a few months ago that had turbo fins on it.
I guess adding some kind of ID mark would be a good idea for the next set. Of course the best thing to do is leash them before landing.
