A better sea can most definitely help as can elevation on the forward end of the seat. This is what makes certian boats more comfortable than others (Like the Trident 15 over the P15).
The new seats in the Wilderness Boats have Leg Lifters, these are a huge help of eliminating the problem you experienced.
