I'm mounting the Hobie ram rod holders up front on a Revolution.

There's no instructions, but I'm guessing the extra base plate goes under, and inside with the flat side facing up.

It's pretty tight down there and I want to make sure I don't end up with extra holes.

Where I want to mount it is also right on top of the rudder up/down cable.

Anything I should be wary of or tips for mounting these?
