I was on my inflatable hobie cruising around the bay with my dog, Zeus. We had been on the water about 2 hours going up and down the channel. Had heard some powerful waves hit the jetty but they werent really coming across the jetty, until this one.
It felt like a rainstorm, and sounded like a freight train. The people on the boat caught this pic of us as the wave came over the jetty. I ran into them today and they mentioned that they had gotten this shot.
I thought it showed the power of some of those huge waves quite well.
