Should have looked into trips a month ago; BFT were WFO.
I've done 2 over nighters (blanked on one, 3 BFT on the other) and a 2 dayer (6 YFT, 1BFT, 1 dodo, and a ray yellowtail) this year.
Numbers on the tuna are dwindling after one of the most epic BFT runs in decades. If you're dead set on going, I would look at a 1.5 dayer at minimum. The overnighters can't go far enough (140-160 miles!) to get you in the area where the tuna are 'kind of biting'.
2 dayer or better yet, 2.5 dayer+ would be ideal right now.
I'm charter master for a 2.5 dayer coming up this weekend. I'll report back when I return. Hopefully this coming warming trend will push the warmer waters up the line along with the fish....
