I tried three times this year to get a YFT from the yak... but to no avail. Had to do it the cheater way, aboard my old man's 40' blackfin. This is just one of many "limit style" yellowfin trips we had this season. These were a little smaller grade, but still hard fighting fish. A great session for the ladies(:
Also found a super salty captain to explore up and down the coast looking for the secret bites. We didnt find any secrets, but we did find a nice quality of fish a bit further from home...
Although I did get quite a few "donkeys" from the yak this year, like this 33lb early season brusier
