Rockfish were on the bite with some squid and the Promar Squirt rigs but it was hard finding some big fish...we spent a lot of time getting the little guys back down... 
The deepwater bass also bit well on the Hookup Baits....but again it was smaller just legal guys this time...I felt like I was raiding the nursery...LOL...!  |

Funny you mentioned raiding the nursery. We had one of those days on the back side of Catalina on Monday. Nothing but sub-legals and Macks for 12+ hours. Makes for a long and exhausting day when you're dropping 8 and 10 oz weight for nothing...
