I fished Sunday there was light fog on the way out which cleared quickly but came back later in the day. We were heading in when the fog was rolling back in but it appeared to be pretty thick. It came on fast and without warning like most weather issues on the ocean. Besides a flag, safety light, and some hi vis clothing us yakers need to try to steer clear of main baoting lanes in low vis conditions. However many Boaters go to fast imo but so do so cal drivers so I wouldn't expect them to change their behavior just because they are on the water. We did the smart thing on sunday and took the inside route in to avoid possible traffic from boaters and jet skis. There was a boat testing his boat at full throttle in the harbor just past the 5mph bouy...we had a few words for him. And really what gives boaters more right to be out in fog than kayakers? We all should be able to enjoy what we do boat or yak...practice responsibility on both ends. Thanks for sharing this it helps remind us yakers of what we face out there on the water...
