Launched out of SI around 6:30 and headed to the bait receiver. The dines were maybe the biggest I have ever seen. Bought the yak scoop, headed toward north island and started drifting a dine on the bottom. There was a decent in coming tide and I was feeling a bit optimistic. Ended up drifting all the way to almost the old sea plane ramps. Now the frustrating side. Lizard fish got on EVERY thing I put in in the water. They came up latched on to the tails of the big dines and ate every plastic I threw. Grubs, swim bait, even texas rigged senkos, it didn't matter. They were actually up in the water column so thick the plastics couldn't even make it to the bottom. Every hooked fish had followers. Worst I've ever seen them.
