Both of us have only kayaked Perris about 3-4 times so, I don’t have anything super helpful. Today’s catch was on 1” curlytails in motoroil and 1/32 jigheads and crawlers.

We launched at the boat ramps but a ranger told me that a lot of yakers are driving their yaks down to sail cove and launching from the beach. She said that parking is allowed there.

This time of year is nice because the drunk boating/jet skiing crowd is in winter hibernation. When they are out in the summer, it can get really sketchy.

My last tip is to watch the winds. They can really kick up in the afternoon and make the paddle/pedal back a challenge.
