Do remember to wear protective goggles, welding/heat-proof gloves, and a mask.
However, unless you get the temperature up too high, all you need to do is to melt the lead down to when it can be poured and not boiling.

I almost forgot, try to get a high grade of lead without any zinc content. Zinc makes it harder to work with. Depending on your source, you may need to filter the impurities. |
1st I set it at high temp then I bring it to just perfect temp. I cast bullets as well. so the mix and the dope I'm getting down.
