1/27 DP Pick yer days!

Light winds and small swell and temps hovering in low seventies. High tide was mid afternoon so I opted to launch around noon. Got some killer dines from the barge and headed straight out past the barber poles. There have been a fair amount of posts lately saying 180 to 200 has been the zone, so I started in 180. barely a breeze but pretty good current flowing south had you drifting a good drift and holding bottom easily with an 8 oz torpedo. Using braid I could still feel the sardine thumping it's tail and the annoying lizard fish harassing them. You could also tell the torpedo was hitting mud when it landed. Alot of winding up and rebaiting, caught a ton of lizard fish and finally a short halibut. Set up back where I had that bite and got bit right on the drop and this one felt big, they feel a lot bigger at that depth and it got smaller as I brought it up but a 27 incher so DINNER!. Kept at it for a couple more shorts and lizard fish and headed in just as the sun set.

Not huge but feels good to end my losing streak.
