also going in threw the gate is only for people that want to park in the parking lot I fish where you dont have to pay for parking and less of a paddle/peddle to where we will be going

Yeah I was going to be there regardless. Heads up unless you do quite a hike with your yak all entry points are closed other than the main entrance. It's worth it to just pay the $10 and back up to the water.
