August 3rd, the agenda is out on the DFG web page. In short public comment is scheduled at 3:30 pm. You must have your card turned in no later than 15 minutes before comment starts. I would show up by no later than 2:45 pm as comment doesn't always go on as scheduled. Please be polite to everyone, especially the people on the other side.

When you speak, speak about what you care about most. What spot is most important to you? What are your alternative closures?

Public Comment: The public is invited to provide general comment on subjects related to the work of the MLPA South Coast Regional Stakeholder Group (SCRSG) at approximately 3:30 pm. Speaker cards are requested and may be found at the entrance to the room. Time allotted for public comment is determined by the number of requests and can range from one to three minutes per comment; submitting written comments that can be easily summarized in one to two minutes is encouraged. Note that the public comment period is for comments specific to the SCRSG; comments related to the MLPA Blue Ribbon Task Force, science advisory team, or other MLPA Initiative activities should be directed to those bodies or MLPA staff.

SCRSG Open House - Discussion of MPA Proposals by Key Geographies

If any one has any more questions go ahead and ask. This is important. Tonight at the BRTF meeting 100+ people showed up in with "MPAs Work" stickers, almost all pushed for Lapis 1 which would all but end kayak fishing in the ocean in San Diego County for 95% of us.
