Black Canyon up North is a great kayaking and fishing location (as the other 2 have mentioned), however it is a little bit more difficult to access. If you are looking for a quicker route, you can head out to Searchlight off of the 15 to Cottonwood Cove. You can launch there or take one of the dirt roads out there to a more remote location to a beach like 6 Mile Cove. Literally park your vehicle on the beach and go fish. Just as a heads up, Lake Mohave especially south of the Black Canyon can either be perfectly flat or the windiest/nastiest ocean you've seen. If wind is the case stick to the protected coves. Back in the 70's we had am epic night stripped bite at Cottonwood off of a point. Must of caught 30 fish 8-14 pounds on anchovies...
