Yes Ed and Mike... Funny thing is that I actually loaded the car the night before with equipment for offshore safari in North County. I happened to check the forecast again later and started to question that decision. The thought of the kayak camouflaging swell, weekend power boat traffic and the tuna-so-close fever sent me back to the garage for a couple of light poles before going to bed.

South SD Bay has generally proved to be solitude and can provide occasional favorable surprise catches too. Landing 10+/- spotties on what started out as a decent morning was indeed rewarding enough. Seeing the turbulent clouds racing in the bank to the west (offshore), hearing about some of the other offshore experiences last weekend and experiencing the wind I did me glad I made the change.
