THANKS

Thanks to all that attended or that donated raffle prizes (THANKS ANDY & OEX) and thanks for supporting the CCA CAL.
That BBQ was outrageous...ribs, chicken, pork, sausage, and they even cooked a lobster for "the lady celebrating her 97th birthday"!
That "lady" was Jim Pierce's Mom... Jim runs Leadmasters which is probably your best value out there on lead weights and leadheads. She's a great old gal and she was very suprissed at the birthday wishes and all. Jim is a big financial supporter of CCA CAL and he bought a table. Thanks Jim and Leadmasters!
We had a full table that Promar bought. Aaron brought his kids tent and the family and they seemed to have a great time. Thanks Promar!
The jazz trio was OK...but the real treat was watching and hearing Bart Hall sit in on the drums...he was actually OK...! Mike Lum brought a couple of games and made few bucks there as well as buying a table. Thanks Fred Hall Shows!
Grant from OKUMA brought a tent and an big Okuma display of rods and reels as did Cedros Adventures. Thanks to Cedros Adventures and OKUMA!
Shimano was represented as well with Dave Pfiefer and some of the Shimano staff buying a table also. Benny Florentino was there with his big comfortable center console. Thanks Shimano!
The Compton Rod and Gun Club had a table too. Thanks for your hospitality Compton Rod and Gun Club!
Alex from Rusty Hook in San Pedro had a table and supplied a lot of help getting the event together. Thanks Rusty Hook!
And... an Especially Big THANK YOU TO JOHN BALLOTTI AND ALL HIS VOLUNTEERS FROM THE CCA CAL L. A. CHAPTER for such a great job and for organizing a fun and successful first fundraiser.

The venue is really nice. Very private location with lots of parking and nice grounds at the Compton Rod and Gun Club. It was right off the 710 FWY near Atlantic and Alondra...as you turn onto that last road off Atlantic you look around and start to wonder about the directions then it opens up into that park like area and becomes a sort of oasis.
The Ballast Point was ice cold...and delicious!
I didn't win anything in the raffle...$100 worth of tickets and no luck....but CCA CAL did raise some needed cash and we got a few more members to join.
It's estimated we had 175 folks attend the event....!
Those 2 free copies of "The Bight" by Brandon Hayward were a pretty nice treat...Thanks Brandon!
Thanks Again to All that Attended...!
