I have no-name single layer nylon or polyester loose fitting, fast drying pants from A-1's bargain rack that I bought as all-purpose adventure travel pants for SE Asia many years ago. Blood and stains never stick. Never hot or sweaty. They are perfect, light, cool, dry in almost seconds, but sadly have about reached their long life's end. I need to find a replacement.
I could literally jump in the water, towel off, then walk into a restaurant to eat. They would be dry enough by the time I sat down.

Any of the Columbia PFG stuff is worth the $. I have a few of their shirts and a pair of their pants and with the sun out they dry in a matter of minutes. Just beware the PFG line is totally oversized, so try to get your hands on them first before ordering online (I wear a M in their shirts and I'm a L/XL in anything else...)
