I had read that people were making scupper hole wheel carts and using them on fully loaded non-Hobie kayaks, like the Malibus.. and there is a known weak area at the scupper hole sites that can crack and leak. The Hobies, are thicker reinforced plastic around the scupper holes, and are designed to accommodate the Hobie scupper wheel carts. The Hobies are fine with the scupper carts.
