Did not want to try and install my 50/200 BIG transducer via putty, goop, container with water, etc. I transport my yak upside down on my car so above mounting techniques were a concern. Need to test in the surf to determine whether to attach transducer to the mounting system before or after launch/landing. Probably will be determined by size of surf. When attaching my heavy transducer, magnets slipped a bit on the smooth surface of my yak. Manufacturer is shipping me some rubber pads that should take care of any slipping.

I bet you could goop the inner magnet in so you can easily pop the transducer into place after a surf launch.
