I really think its possible to land those larger roosters from the Yak with a 10wt, Mike landed that nice one last year on his, but on the other side to that I got towed around for over an hour and that fish would not leave the bottom. I'm sure if I had to, I could have worn that fish out and got him to the boat, but it would have killed him for sure.

With enough time you can tire any fish out, but in 80-85 degree water we had several of those larger roosters that we couldn't revive, and several others that took like what 20 minutes to get to swim off? I'd rather have something with more backbone to get the fish in quicker so I can have a successful release than be able to say I landed a monster on light line.

I'm gonna try and come down to SD soon and do some yak fishing, ill hit you up when I know more and maybe we can do some fishin together
