I was never able to get the post clamps tight enough to support my fully-loaded Prangler 14. So I cut two pieces of PVC that just fit over the cart tubes - and then two more pieces of PVC that just fit over the first ones, making them twice as thick. I put them on under the post clamps, so the PVC rests on the axle and supports the clamps. I carefully measured the cart posts so that with the PVC spacers installed I still had room to insert the keeper pin into the post top.

Other folks have simply replaced the post clamps with a tennis ball, but that may or may not allow you to still use the keeper pin.
