Steve and I launched from the ramp somewhere between 5:30 and 6:00. There was a pretty stiff offshore breeze and cloudy skies. Water was 65º and very clear. Since it was still dark we decided to fish the jetty until it was a bit lighter. As it turned out we stayed on the jetty the whole time. Neither of us felt like dealing with the offshores on the Pipe and we were picking away at the bass where we were. We stayed near the end of the long jetty, on the outside, fishing from the jetty itself out to about 35'.

I was feeling like crap (going to the Dr in a couple of hours) and wasn't very motivated. I fished 4 colors in 2 styles the whole time. 3" and 4" Flurrys in Minnow Magic and Greenback. 5" Paddlerz in Redbone and Smoky Shad. The Flurrys carried the day. All 6 of my bass came on Flurrys as well as quite a few greenbacks. My best bass was a calico about 3lbs. Steve did a bit better than myself.

At about 8:30 the wind shifted and started coming out of the south and by 9:00 I was done and we headed in. It was a short morning, but we both agreed that we had fun. Hopefully this report made sense as I'm on pain killers and feeling like crap still. Praying it's only a sinus infection and not multiple bad teeth.
